Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
Your access to this website (the “Site”) is provided by The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre (“Perley Health”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and is conditional upon your acceptance, without modification, of the disclaimer and the terms set forth below (collectively referred to as “Terms”).
Use of this Site
“Use” of the Site collectively includes:
- visiting or using the Site including, without limitation, to use, access, or download, text, data, images, PDFs, videos, newsletters, illustrations, animations, or other materials, including materials submitted by you (“Submitted Content”), which is collectively referred to as “Content”; and/or
- visiting or using the Site including, without limitation, to submit, post or upload your images, text, data, illustrations, animations or other Submitted Content to the Site.
Each time you Use the Site you signify your acceptance and agreement, and the acceptance and agreement of any person or entity on whose behalf you may act, to be bound by the Terms. Do not use this Site unless you agree to the Terms. Perley Health reserves the right to amend or modify the Terms at any time without notice. Your continued Use of the Site following the posting of any such changes will mean you accept the changes. If any change to the Terms is unacceptable to you, you should stop using the Site.
Description of the Services
“Service” or “Services” means Perley Health’s informational and instructional Content and programs offered and transmitted through the Site, as accessed from time to time by the user, regardless if the Use is in connection with an account or not.
You acknowledge and agree that the Services are provided “As Is” and are based on the current state of the art of technology in use by Perley Health at the time of the access. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, each new feature that enhances the current Service shall be subject to the Terms.
As research progresses, Perley Health is constantly innovating in order to provide the best possible experience for its users. You agree that the form and nature of the Services which Perley Health provides through the Site may change from time to time without prior notice to you. As part of this continuing innovation, you acknowledge and agree that Perley Health may stop (permanently or temporarily) providing some Services (or any features within the Services) to you or to users generally at Perley Health’s sole discretion, without prior notice to you.

This Site, and Perley Health’s Services offered through it, are for your informational purposes only and are not intended for and should not be used as a substitute for direct medical advice from a licensed health care practitioner. It is your responsibility to ensure that you will observe and not exceed any mental or physical conditions and/or limitations you have. Ownership
Content on the Site is the intellectual property of Perley Health or of its licensors, unless otherwise noted. Reproduction or transmission of this material in any form, except for personal use, is strictly prohibited without the prior written permission of Perley Health.
Permitted Uses
Except as otherwise provided for in these Terms, you may use this Site only for your own lawful, personal, non-commercial purpose. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, non-sublicensable license to Use the Content for personal non-commercial use only, provided the Content is not modified and all copyright and other proprietary rights withstand.

If you violate the terms of this Section and/or the Terms, or if Perley Health has reasonable grounds to suspect you have violated the Terms, Perley Health has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Site or Services (or any portion thereof).
Material Posted Through the Service
Perley Health will not be held responsible in any way for any Content, including but not limited to any errors or omissions in any Submitted Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the Use of any Content posted, emailed, or otherwise transmitted through the Services.
You acknowledge that Perley Health has the right to pre-screen, review, filter, modify, refuse, or move any Content that is available through the Services. Perley Health shall have the right to remove any Content that violates the Terms or is deemed by Perley Health to be otherwise objectionable. Perley Health respects your privacy; we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information about our Site users. We collect, use, and disclose personal information only with your consent, and after identifying the purposes for which the personal information is collected, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law. Generally, information may be collected to improve the operation of the Site, process requests, and/or respond to feedback. We also use contact information to send periodic newsletters to subscribers who have opted to use this service. The laws of the Province of Ontario shall govern this agreement and any dispute or claim based on your Use of the Site. You agree that any action or proceeding related to this agreement or your Use of the Site shall only be brought by you in the courts of the Province of Ontario.
General
The Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Perley Health and govern your use of the Services, overruling any prior agreements between you and Perely Rideau on this subject, save for Perley Health’s Privacy Policy.
