Chair Yoga
Gentle exercise and breathing can have a big impact. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga which is perfect for anyone who has reduced mobility or difficulty standing. You can build strength, improve flexibility, breathe easier and have a better sense of well-being.
Dance Therapy
Dancing is fun and inspirational. Whether sitting in a chair, standing or moving around the room, it’s all about listening to the beat, breathing and enjoying the rhythms. Each person should do what feels right and safe for them. It’s OK to adapt the movements to what works for you.
Laughter Yoga
Anyone can laugh for no reason at all. We don’t need jokes or comedy. That’s the idea behind laughter yoga. It’s a combination of laughter exercise and yoga breathing. It encourages childlike playfulness – and it’s fun.
Muscle Relaxation
It’s time to relax. This video teaches you how to tense and then relax each muscle group in your body – one by one. By doing so, you can calm your mind and feel less anxious.
Morning (or anytime) Stretches
Stretching in the morning is a great way to start the day on a positive note. Stretching can increase range of motion abilities, increase mobility and decrease stiffness in muscles. Stretching in the morning can help elevate mood and benefit you physically and emotionally. Stretch for 15 to 20 minutes and listen to your body. Do not hold any position if you feel pain.
Music & Movement
This exercise helps participants get physical through music evolving movements. Moving to music can enhance body awareness and is a great way to reminisce by listening to familiar music. Listen to your body and do not do any movements that cause discomfort.
Fun and Games
Fun & Games is a way to get your loved one physically stimulated by having a social and fun atmosphere.
